A light diffuser prototype designed as a replacement part for ceiling lights that are common fixtures in Canadian homes. The bowl-like, moulded-plastic shade diffuses illumination evenly and stacks efficiently for shipping. It has a convenient handhold, no small parts, and a magnetic connection for removal and attachment to existing ceiling armatures. Importantly, it can be safely attached using just one hand. Commissioned for travelling exhibition Re:Design, Daily Products for the 21st Century, Design Exchange, Toronto.
