The Battery Chair is a powder-coated steel, stacking lawn chair that won an international design competition for new seating for the Battery’s oval lawn in Manhattan. The chair has a simplified floral form, with seat, back, and arms referencing petals. Together, the 300 chairs transform the Battery oval into an unexpected lounging meadow.
